STUDEM Project

STUDEM was established as a partnership between Silba - Initiative for Dialogue and Democracy and a local Moldovan organization in 2017 with the aim of strengthening Moldovan democracy by empowering young people to express their thoughts, understand their rights, and participate in their local communities. Today, it operates out of a youth-led center in Bălți, managed by a board of 11 democratically chosen young people.

STUDEM works with local youth through the youth center as well as through partnerships with student councils in the Bălți
area. In the past few years, STUDEM has also initiated partnerships with youth organizations in other regions of the country, as well as participated on the national level by contributing to updating the rules and regulations of student councils in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
