Youth Of Gagauzia
Newly started project in Comrat, Moldova

From Idea to Partnership
Our shared project aims to develop a training programme for Gagauzian youth equipping them with skills to become youth leaders and change-agents with the necessary skills to set up small-scale youth-to-youth projects. The project will equip youths with tools to identify challenges present in their local communities and create projects to tackle these challenges. Participants involved will gain skills in leadership, dialogue and project management. The first training programme will take place during the summer of 2025 with different activities and workshops. The participants will develop and implement their own small-scale projects until the beginning of 2026.

Located in Comrat, in the autonomous region of Gagauzia, in Southern Moldova, Youth of Gagauzia runs a youth centre that invites children and youth to join, create and facilitate activities. Youth of Gagauzia has extensive experience in international projects, as it partners with a range of INGOs including USAID and has also carried out projects with funding from the European Union.
Vision of the Project
The Youth of Gagauzia project is dedicated to promoting mutual understanding among young people both within their region and across Moldova. By empowering youth as agents of social change, the project aims to provide them with the tools to create impactful activities in their communities. The initiative focuses on a youth-to-youth approach, where young volunteers develop and lead activities for their peers, with a particular emphasis on the inclusion of minority groups, including youth from Transnistria and young Ukrainian refugees. Coordinators from Youth of Gagauzia and Silba will collaboratively manage the day-to-day operations of the project.
The project’s vision is reflected in three core goals:
Promote Mutual Understanding Across Regions
Youth-Led Initiatives and Inclusivity
Empower Youth
as Agents of
Social Change
