CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: International Project with Belarusian Youth

 

Are you passionate about democratic development in Eastern Partnership Region? Would you like to support Belarusian civil society and youth and engage in projects? Our international project group is now looking for new volunteers to join our team!

 

We are looking for volunteers to join our project group within Silba’s International Department. We have a long-term partnership with Belarusian National Youth Council RADA who are working in exile, and have hosted projects together before.

 

By joining our project group, you will get experience in working with international project management while gaining unique insights into democratic work related to youth, politics, and civil society in an interesting area and hotspot for geopolitical developments displayed in a local society and region. You will also gain experience with grants applications as well as financial management.

We are looking for someone that:

​

• Wants to contribute to the development of Belarusian youth and civil society;

• Is enthusiastic, flexible and open-minded;

• Can commit to at least one year of volunteer work in our group;

• Has a high proficiency of English language — both orally and written;

• Is a member of Silba - Initiative for Dialogue and democracy.

 

It would be desirable if the potential volunteer has:
 

• Experience with volunteer work and/or with organizational work;

• Has experience with working in international environments;

• Knows about Belarusian political context, specifically since 2020.

• Ability to speak and communicate in Russian, Belarusian, or Ukrainian language.
